Trauma Informed Care (TIC) aims to highlight the widespread prevalence and effects of trauma, various pathways to recovery, and consolidate the knowledge of trauma in bringing the best possible collaborative care to patients, families, and staff working in the helping professions.

Virtual TIC Training
September 29, 2020

10am to 12 pm PST

During this training participants will be invited to engage in a virtual experience where they will learn:  

·          Definition of trauma and contextual contributing factors

·          Signs and symptoms of trauma

·          Components of a trauma-informed approach

Participants will be able to download training materials and handouts,obtain Continuing Education credits, submit questions and obtain further resources on trauma informed care.

The training will be conducted by Cindy Rollo, MSW, LCSW-C. Cindy is an accomplished trainer, consultant, supervisor and clinician. Cindy has been involved in bringing trauma-informed trainings and system change to mental health professionals, administrators, graduate students, child welfare workers,case managers and support staff who provide care in a range of community and residential settings that serve diverse populations. Over the last 20 years, Cindy has provided psychotherapy to underserved youth and their families that are living in the context of urban poverty and ongoing trauma exposure in Baltimore, Maryland. She is also a national trainer for Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and co-developed a graduate level course on Evidence-Based Mental Health Treatment with Children and Adolescents.

Continuing Education (1.75 CEs):

Psychologists:

APA: CIBHS is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. CIBHS maintains responsibility for this program and its content.   

RN, PT Credit : CIBHS is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP11779 for up to 1.75 CEs.

LMFT, LPCC, LEP and/or LCSW Credit : CIBHS is an approved provider for the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) to sponsor continuing education. CIBHS maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content. Course meets the qualifications for 1.75 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LPCCs, LEPs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.. (Provider Number 70799)

All activities in this training are offered for continuing education credit excluding any breaks. CE Certificates of Completion will be emailed within two weeks of processing your completed online evaluation.

Cancellation Policy:  Cancellations for continuing education must be received in writing within 48 hours after the first day of the training to receive a refund.  All refunds will be subject to a $10.00 administration fee, which will be deducted from all refund checks. In the event the provider cancels the event, full refunds will be given.
