Description
This training will help clinicians to identify the different eating disorders and better able to develop treatment interventions and plans for helping clients suffering from Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder and ED NOS. Assessment and diagnostic tools for medical,nutritional and psychological aspects of the Eating Disorders will be provided.
Learning Objectives
- Participants will be able to identify the criteria for diagnosing an Eating Disorder using the DSM V.
- Participants will learn about the medical risks and complications of the various eating disorders.
- Participants will also learn about the management of medications and the ED impact on effectiveness.
- Participants will have knowledge of the various therapeutic approaches to the treatment of these disorders.
- Participants will gain the knowledge the continuum of care and what resources are available.
