This session will focus on several issues related to new legislation, marijuana use, abuse and statement strategies:
- Marijuana policy, the new law in California and how it affects our service populations
- Marijuana use, including what are the neuro- chemical effects, indications for treatment both medical and mental health
- Marijuana use and abuse among youth and adult populations- when to be concerned about abuse and what are effective primary prevention, what are the protective factors, how to diagnoses abuse and subsequent treatment modalities
Cost
There is no cost to attend. Limited scholarships available for travel or lodging.
