Sponsored by the California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS) under a grant from the Blue Shield of California Foundation, the summit will be a unique opportunity to examine promising and best practices in adolescent early intervention and treatment. We have invited the administrators, local partners and allies to participate as members of a county team designed by the county. The summit will also provide the time to build collaborative partnerships which will be key to designing and delivering SUD services. We will take an epidemiological, developmental, and public health approach to the implications for developing a system of services for youth. It is a time for new ideas and collaboration and to seize the opportunity to build a system of care that does not currently exist.
Participants will be invited by the County BHS SUD administrator who will be hosting a county team to attend the summit and work on the local system design. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in small breakout sessions, collaborative efforts and networking with colleagues from around the state.
Each county is encouraged to invite up to five representatives from partner agencies and allies in the county who will be critical to developing and implementing an adolescent system of care. This summit is for all counties, not only those opting into the DMC-ODS.
