It's a new year and with that we have had to make some unanticipated changes to our ‘typical' CalQIC conference schedule. This year the Law and Ethics session will be available Saturday via Demio for those who wish to collect continuing education credit. To receive CE credit, live interactive participation is required with a separate registration. Only attendees that have paid the conference registration fee can register for the Law & Ethics session.
Law and Ethics will be VIRTUAL on Saturday, March 11, Law & Ethics: (Please use one of the following browsers for best results: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.) An email will be sent to you with the link to register for Saturday after you have register for the conference.
This session will be limited to 500 people. If you are unable to participate in the virtual session on Saturday, March11, 2023, you can still view the Law & Ethics recording, at your convenience, but continuing education credit will not be available if your viewing the recording. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Who Should attend:
The primary audience for this conference includes the following California County staff: QI/QA Coordinators, Compliance Officers, and those involved with utilization review and quality improvement efforts.
The room block at the Embassy Suites is full. I left the info up in case anyone cancels and you want to try to see if a room is available.

COVID-19 Policy Statement
The health and safety of our attendees remains our top priority and our plans for any in-person event include precautions. The 2023 CalQIC Committee & CIBHS are committed to hosting a conference in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 safety practices and guidelines, as well as any state and local requirements.
We are strong in our commitment to keeping the public informed, engaged and connected. Therefore, we are relying on everyone to do their part to keep themselves and everyone around them safe before and during the event.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required or a negative test. (PCR or 15-minute test)
If you do not have a copy of your vaccination card and you were vaccinated in CA, you may visit the CDPH website to find your record: https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/
We appreciate everyone's cooperation in bringing your vaccination record and only entering the meeting space once you have signed in and provided this information at the registration desk. We are building in additional time for registration, and we thank you in advance for arriving early to help ensure we can all check in.
At this time, and in accordance with Monterey County guidance, masks will be optional but encouraged at the conference and in all public spaces. Masks will be provided, if needed. We will ask everyone to respect other's personal space. Capacity limits have been placed at the venue. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the event space.
Safety precautions will be subject to change, based on CDC and California guidelines up until the day of the event.
Personal Responsibility & Liability Waiver
By attending the 2023 CalQIC Conference, you voluntarily assume all risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury related to exposure to COVID-19, and release the CalQIC conference, and CIBHS from liability for any injury or harm that may result by attending the Event. The 2023 CalQIC Conference Committee's goal is to ensure a safe meeting environment. As such, you also agree to abide by any prevention or safety measures that the CalQIC conference, CIBHS and the venue, the County health department,and/or the State of California may have in place during the Event. You also agree not to attend the Event if you become ill, are aware that you've been directly exposed to the COVID-19 virus within two weeks prior to the Event or exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus prior to or during the Event.

LMFT, LPCC, LEP and/or LCSW : CIBHSis an approved provider for the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) to sponsor continuing education. CIBHS maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content .Course meets the qualifications for XX hours of continuing education credit for L MFTs,LPCCs, LEPs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. CCAPP : CIBHS is an approved provider for California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP) continuing education units (Provider number 5-98-408-0822). Pending Renewal
CADTP: CIBHS is an approved provider for California Association of DUI Treatment Programs (CADTP) continuing education credits. CIBHS maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content. (Provider number 240) All activities in this training are offered for continuing education credit excluding any breaks. CE Certificates of Completion will be emailed within two weeks of processing your completed online evaluation.
