Event Description:

After consultation with DHCS, we have decided to postpone the Clinical Documentation training due to the changes that CalAIM will bring when it becomes effective on January 1st, 2022.  We expect to reschedule this training for some time in later in 2022 once the CalIAim Documentation Redesign requirements are promulgated.

Clinical Documentation

This training is designed to help SUD treatment providers meet the regulatory (DMC-ODS and Title 22) requirements for reimbursement of services delivered to DMC-ODS beneficiaries. This training focuses on DMC documentation requirements to support claims for services rendered. There is also a clinical and financial component.

Learning Objectives

1.  Participants will be able to describe the 4 components and required timelines for intake and treatment admission to establish medical necessity criteria and ensure timeliness of care among patients in SUD treatment.

2.  Participants will be able to identify one or more core elements as supported by research for developing a patient-centered treatment plan to improve individualized care and share decision making.

3.  Participants will be able to identify 10 or more approved treatment services and the DMC-ODS requirements for each service to support symptom reduction and recovery among patients in SUD treatment.

Continuing Education   3.5 credits

CCAPP : CIBHS is an approved provider for California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP)continuing education units (Provider number 5-98-408-0822).

CADTP: CIBHS is an approved provider for California Association of DUI Treatment Programs(CADTP) continuing education credits. CIBHS maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content. (Provider number240)

Pending Approval:  LMFT, LPCC, LEP and/or LCSW:  CIBHS is an approved provider for the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) to sponsor continuing education.  CIBHS maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content.  Course meets qualifications for TBD hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (Provider Number 70799)

All activities in this training are offered for continuing education credit excluding any breaks. CE Certificates of Completion will be emailed within two weeks of processing your completed online evaluation.
