Advancing EBPs and CDEPs Across Systems to Foster Equitable Community Change
The two-day conference will shine a spotlight on the urgent need to work alongside communities facing deep and persistent inequities across critical systems—behavioral health, criminal justice, housing, and education—where lives are impacted daily, and change is imperative.
The conference will emphasize clinical and non clinical strategies to improve the quality and evaluation of behavioral services through the implementation and expansion of Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) and Community-Defined Evidence Practices (CDEPs) . EBPs and CDEPs are requirements in several key statewide initiatives in California, including:
- Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA)
- CA 1115 Waiver California Behavioral Health Community-Based Organized Networks of Equitable Care Treatment (BH-CONNECT) Demonstration California
- Youth and Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI)

Objectives:
By attending the 11th EBP/CDEP Conference, participants will be able to:
- Recognize models of Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) and Community-Defined Evidence Practices (CDEPs)
- Understand the lessons learned during the startup, scaling, and expansion of EBP and CDEP initiatives
- Discover effective practices, approaches, and strategies aimed at enhancing the lives of adults, youth, children, and families receiving behavioral health services.
- Identify a range of EBPs and CDEPs that have proven effective in improving access to care, promoting equity, and fostering a culturally responsive community for individuals seeking behavioral health services.
