A Live Virtual Training
In this two-day DBT booster workshop brought to you by
California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS) sponsored by
Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance, we will focus
on applying Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to treat addiction. Participants
will gain a comprehensive understanding of how addiction impacts individuals
and learn practical DBT skills to address these challenges.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the prevalence and
Impact of Addiction: Explain how addiction destroys the ability to build a
life worth living and impairs treatment.
- Apply Core DBT Skills to
Addictions: Discuss examples of how each DBT skill set is helpful when
treating addictions.
- Educate about DBT-specific
addiction Skills: Learn strategies to address addiction behaviors and
increase abstinence.
- Practice DBT “When Addiction is
the Problem” Skills: Large and small group discussions and individual
exercises to reinforce the application of the skills in real-life
situations.
This training will be held via Zoom. The Zoom meeting link and materials will be emailed out to you the week prior to the training.
This experiential workshop will include vignettes and breakout rooms for enhanced learning experience. We'll enable cameras and microphones to facilitate group participation.
