The California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS) and the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) are co-sponsoring the Evidence-Based Practices Symposium: Outreach to Outcome: Continuum of Prevention and Early Intervention Services. This year's symposium will be held at the Renaissance Hotel, Long Beach, California on Monday, April 3rd – Tuesday, April 4th, 2017.
Our conference theme, "Outreach to Outcome: Continuum of Prevention and Early Intervention Services," reflects the true spirit of collaboration with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Heath's PEI implementation and the statewide implementation of evidence-based practices. The conference will consist of high quality presentations relating to strategies that are culturally relevant, with many workshops focusing on the unique needs of the Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) population. This Symposium is intended to provide a range of skills training and data informed research that will:
- Enhance outreach efforts, particularly to vulnerable communities
- Address disparities
- Manage more effectively the implementation of evidence based practices (EBP)
- Support sustainability of programs
- Improve evaluation
- Promote utilization of outcomes in the treatment process
California counties have been instrumental in changing their mental health systems through the implementation of PEI, EBP's, and the use of outcomes. Successes have been achieved despite numerous challenges related to this new array of services. Standardized outcomes and other data collection demonstrate the successes of such programs and practices.Streamlined implementation and sustainability strategies have contributed to their success.

Psychologists : Psychologists - APA : CIBHS is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. CIBHS maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
RN/ PT Credit : CIBHS is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 11779 for 13.75 contact hours.
MFT, LPCC, LEP and/or LCSW Credit : CIBHS is an approved provider for the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) to sponsor continuing education. Course meets the qualifications for 13.75 hours of continuing education credit for L MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. CIBHS maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content. (Provider Number 70799)
